Had an interesting night, I've been more or less shutout over the last few sits, so I got down and got MOBILE tonight. I slowly snuck through the woods, got busted by a group of does, then watched about 9 deer from a distance, 4 of them bucks. I watched to smaller 1.5 or 2.5 yr old bucks spar, then a pair of bigger bucks came trotting in. The biggest of the bucks, probably a 140 class deer then GENTLY locked up with the larger of the two little bucks and tussled with him a bit, then they separated and the other decent buck, probably a 120-130 class buck then tussled with the bigger of the two small bucks, then the two larger bucks tussled. It was all really gentle stuff, enough I could hear them from a couple hundred yards away, but not violent at all. Gonna make a move to try to be closer to them in the morning. Anyone witness anything like this at THIS time of year??? I've seen it later in the year and earlier in the year, but never in early mid-December.....
