Hi all. New to this site. I have been an avid bowhunter since 1958 [ya i'm old] My first hunting bow was a fiberglass longbow. Scared a few deer but couldn't close the deal but I was hooked. Couple years later, I got enough money to buy a Bear Kodiak recurve. State of the art back then. Shot a lot of whitetails here in Wisconsin. Next bow was a Red Wing Hunter. Shot a couple bear and more whitetails with it. Fought the compound revolution for a long time, but finally gave in and bought an Astro 2-wheeler and shot it till it blew up. I now shot a Mathews Pro-Conquest. Upon retirement in 2000, I established an outfitting business in South Dakota. We do prairie dog hunts, pheasant hunts and recently opened one of our properties to bowhunting. The bowhunting camp is in northeast SD and is loaded with record book bucks. I and my son, Mike, personally run this operatation. We are offering low rates and high quality hunts and have some availability this year. **** 920-233-1611 [email protected]
Welcome to the site. My advice.. get a website built.. it's really the best way for the perspective hunter to view whether he/she would like to visit what you have.
welcome! i would really take dukes advice, and make sure you put directions to your outfitter, idk how many times i have been looking around and they do not even give you directions to their outfitter.
Thank you for your advice. I understand the value of a website as I have some for my other business. We are trying to keep the costs low so that we can offer a very high quality bow hunt at a very low price. For example, a 6/night--5/day guided hunt starts at just $1000.00 and this includes lodging in a very nice private lodge. We are only taking a limited number of hunters so it is hard to justify the cost and time commitments of a website. Again, please accept my thanks and any other thoughts would be appreciated. Thanks---****
Even a small 1 page website is nice for anyone to see. Those are inexpensive.. just need contact info.. a picture of the lodging.. and a brief story about you and your business. It will do wonders if put out there right. $1000.00 is cheap.. I'll give you that.. I'll even throw in a I'm interested.. but only if it's non-guided. I always wanted to hunt SD.. something about those plains.
Hey Duke, You may be interested in our semi-guided hunts. We will orient you to property and if you choose you can be on your own after that. Semi-guided hunts include lodging and private land access. You can do your own scouting and use your own stands, cook your own meals in our fully equipped kitchen, and provide your own on-site transportation. 6/night ---5day hunt is $1000.00 early and late season and $1250.00 rut season. If you book 4 other hunters, the 5th hunt is free. Buy 4 hunts---get 5. All-inclusive hunts include lodging, home cooked meals, ladder stands or ground blinds [or use your own] and on-site transportation. 6/night---5/day hunt is $1250.00 early or late season and $1500.00 rut season. Pictures and references on request. 5 for 4 also applies Thanks---****
