From Wisconsin and looking to do a diy archery hunt. Any info on counties and public land would be great.

    Thanks John

Numbers been down quite bit. I will most likely be back out there towards the tail end on the lope season, though I doubt I buy a tag for them this year.

if you go to the SD fish and game website they literally have all the info you need, harvest data, current population trends, land use maps. It is one of the better websites from any state.

Don't discount paying a trespass fee and getting on private ranch also....

SW part of the state is the best area from what I am told

Are you still planning to hunt pronghorns this fall? My elk hunts have fallen through so I am diving into antelope. It will be my first time with a bow and I haven't hunted them with a rifle for quite a few years.

The SD GFP just released a new heat map for antelope densities. it looks like numbers are coming back a bit.

I'm planning on staying on public land unless I stumble across somewhere I can get permission. There is a lot of public land although much of it is land locked, you can't get to it without trespassing. Public Land Map

    Good Luck!!
