Give me a break. I just watched the first half of SC against Vandy. Before the game all the "Experts" were saying SC could actually win the SEC. They gave all these reasons and excuses and then they started playing the game. SC first 3 offensive plays were 2 turn overs. It's amost half time and it's 10-10 with Vandy in Possession. Spurrier has all this talent supposedly....but his play selection is juvenille. His first string QB got hurt late on one of his .... "I'll run it. I'm the star Plays". That really has been the senerio for most of the first half. Latimore was touted to be the next Heisman winner. He had one good run for a TD from like 29 yards or something. However, they'll be lucky to be 500 at the rate they're playing. No plan, no game, out of it right now. Maybe they'll get it going... but the way they've played they could have easily have been down 2 touchdowns with early turnovers if Vandy could move the ball.
Lame game... what a snoozer! I didn't know how bad all the other teams, #s 10-110+-, were. No Conner Shaw... no team? Give me a break.
All tongue in cheek... The SEC is the SEC and teams go at it week after week and often look bad against each other, especially the first couple games. I was actually more impressed with Vandy and can see them knocking some big heads around this year. It was pretty clear however that SC has no plan B without Shaw and Lattimore.
The first questionable decision Miles makes late in the game and the LSU contingent is calling for his head.
Well yes, that is true. As we are in the south, we do have a lot of ignorant rednecks as LSU fans, and they cannot see more than what is right in front of their faces. This is true. I am not one of them. Although I have never been a big fan of Miles, I cannot question is accomplishments as a coach. I can, however, question his inevitable idiotic coaching mistakes.
I'm just giving you ****. I do, however, agree that david flies off the handle and creates irrational threads. I can't wait to be old and cranky.
USCe is plenty good. Lattimore is a beast as is Clowney. They'll be fine. I'm not sold on Shaw though. He's a great athlete and makes plays, I just don't think he's going to last an entire season. This is off topic, but watching Shaw run around last night and keep getting hurt really gives you an idea of just how strong Tebow was at UF. He carried the ball 20+ times several times in his career in SEC games and never really got hurt outside of his concussion his senior year. The dude was a monster. Also, Vandy is pretty good.
USCe OL looked pretty horrible. If Vandy's DL can dominate like they did, imagine what LSU, Bama or Florida's DL will do to them.
