The eerie sound of Coyotes packing in around me as I sat in my tree stand with 20 minutes left of legal hunting light. It started at a couple hundred yards away and by the time they were within a hundred yards I decided I wasn't going to see any deer anyway... I had a 1/2 mile walk to my ATV and another 1 1/2 out to the road. This is the one time I didn't carry my cannon on my side, so to say the least I was a bit unnerved as they paralleled me all the way back to the ATV. I pulled an arrow out of my quiver and carried it along side of me, just in case I had to fight off the beasts!!!
