Seeing all the "Where The Wild Things Are" previews reminded me of one of my favorite songs from a few years back. Arcade Fire - Wake Up Love this song.
After y'all listen to that epic song by Arcade Fire, delve into the musical genius that is Tom Waits. Tom Waits - Walk Away
Arcade Fire..................liked it, not my cup of tea but not that bad Tom Waits.............very soulful, sounds like something a Louisianan would listen to
The only thing worse then my love for Packers QB's on this website, is your taste of music. DUDE............NO
One day you will see the light and realize that GnR and Nirvana were nothing special. GnR was absolutely horrible, and Nirvana may be the most overrated band of all time.
Jim, give me some good Texas country to listen to. Ever since I graduated from college, I haven't kept up with any Texas country artists. There is a bar in my college town that always had Texas country artists come play (CCR, Radney Rogers, Stoney LaRue, Kevin Fowler, etc.) and I always enjoyed their shows.
Believe it or not, "Fishin in the Dark" is one of my favorite songs of all time. Nitty Gritty Dirt Band - Fishin in the Dark
My wife and I walked out to that during our wedding. LOL! :D Cue the "You know you're a redneck when..." jokes!
I don't like your taste in music, but I dislike caleb's more. Great post :D Especially Nirvana, I can't stand them.
Music was awesome, lyrics were awesome... the "I sound like I took a bite out of a pillowtop mattress before I started singing" thing sucked. I can't stand it when someone mumbles...
i enjoy their music, but calling it great is vastly overstating the quality of the musicianship of them... Slash is a decent metal guitarist, but not one of the greats by any stretch and the only reason kobain is revered is because he blew his head off... nirvana, imho, brought one thing to the music world, their sound... after that the rest of it was completely forgettable... but doesn't mean it isn't entertaining...
Like I've said before....much better than Nirvana and the TRUE start of Seattle grunge rock... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g2DliQeqbyI
Hooker, I can hook you up with some red dirt music. Trust me. The town I live in is where a ton of red dirt people get their start. It's sometimes called the origin of redirt, but that is an overstatement. I actually sent an SD card loaded with awesome red dirt music to our very own buckeye upon request, which has since disappeared :D
