I got out of the office a little later than expected I did get one trap deployed had to rig up a way to mount the trap to the bird feeder. Waiting on sun rise. I am going to have to mount a trail camera by the feeder I don't want Shart robbing the trap and taking credit for one of my kills.

Imagine my disappointment when I look out the front windows and see the little rat bastards frolicking around the bird feeder completely ignoring the peanut butter laced trap. I am all the way mad, not sure if frozen peanut butter looses it appeal and smell or if I need to find another bait.

Like I posted before ^^^^ corn is your answer. You can even stick it into the peanut butter so it stays there and not fall out.

X2 Works in NE ND. Attracts mice too so we have switched to trapping them instead of squirrels.

So it went to the feed mill, upped my game. I bought unsalted peanuts and some whole kernel corn. I will find their weakness.

I got the perfect recipe. Grind that corn with some barley, add some water in a pot, heat and mix it sufficiently, add some yeast and age it for a couple weeks. Strain. Distill.

Wait, that's the wrong recipe. But you won't care as much about the squirrels.

    Day two - silence.

In my personal war, I'm keeping pace with war kitten, but with mice.
