    Very true it would seem that the family farm is dying a slow death. Corporate farming is taking over.

    I know several folks here in south GA in there 30s and 40s that were not raised on a farm that have gotten into it in the last 10 years and are making a good go of it...
    It's not easy but it is possible.. And actually the stats do not bare out that everyone want to be a farmer because it is easy quite the contrary, more people are moving into the burbs and cities...We are losing farmers at an alarming rate and as SOTA said soon it will be nothing but factory farms...

    Yeah they're will always be some that will fall into the right place and take over an old guy's farm or something, that's inevitable. Georgia and Minnesota are vastly different in agriculture.
