I have been off of the forum for a while... Lets see..I lost my job in March, worked three lesser paying jobs March-May, got offered a new better job in May. New job is in Iowa, so it required a move...to Iowa. My wife and I picked up stakes in Indiana and moved to southern Iowa, and I commute to Des Moines. The first three weeks here I spent in California and Arkansas for training, but I'm back in Iowa now =) Two weeks ago we found out my wife is pregnant with our first child. Anyway...I'm back now, but I am starting over with pretty much everything as far as hunting. I have been lucky enough to get permission on two private farms already, and I live pretty close to a huge tract of public land. I have very high expectations as I live in a very very good area of the state. Did I mention I live in Iowa now?
Whoa, big life changes all within a few short months!!! It sounds like you ended up in a nice place and I'm glad to hear it. Here's a toast to you and your wife, congratulations and God bless. Hope everything continues to go well!
Congrats Have a good woman who would just getup and go where her man goes, and now prego, can't comment on Iowa though. BUT, a better job is always good.
SWEET!!!! Isn't life grand?!?! So since you're going to be busy with helping your wife get ready for the new young one, I'll be glad to "donate" some of my time to come out there and "HELP" you out with the deer population. Don't thank me. It's just the least I can do to help a poor fellow hunter out!!!!!
Haha. If only it were that easy. The zone I live in is getting very tough to draw a tag as a nonresident. For the first time there were people with 3 points that didnt draw this year. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Sorry for all the crap you went through but from the sounds of it things are looking up. Congratulations to you and your wife. Now lets end the year on a good note with you laying down a Iowa giant!!
Welcome back!!! Congrats on sticking through all of it and coming out on top, just proves to show that sticking with it and working hard always pays off! Congrats on the move, the new job, the great land and deer in Iowa, and most importantly on the new addition to your family that is coming!
