Sony HXR NX100

I recently purchased this camera and have a Monfrotto lanc remote with it. When I plug it in to the lanc port, it powers on then nothing. The remote will not do anything like the camera doesn’t recognize it. Is there something I’m doing wrong or could there be a short of some type in the camera itself? Thanks for any help.

You might do a search on google and see what you come up with for compatibility between that camera and that lanc. I see that it says "Partially Lanc Compatible" in the specifications of that camera. It may be that the particular lanc you are using doesn't work with that camera. I've used Varizoom VZ Stealth LX with my Sony PXW-X70(with adapter cables to make it work through the micro USB port). It worked fine on that camera aside from needing 2 adapter cables to make it work.

 

Sounds like a glitch in the remote. No problems with controller on my NX100

 

I’m also having problems with the headphone jack on the camera so I’m guessing it’s something inside the camera that is messed up. Thanks for the help
