It was definitely hard to watch. This looks like its going to be a real good season with all the usual plot twists.

I was shocked they showed that. That was a pretty messed up thing to see.

I love this show and am a huge Kurt Sutter fan. The way he did The Shield and now with SOA, he seems to have an absolutely jaw dropping season every other year, and Im guessing this will be that type of season. Cant wait to see how it plays out!

    Agreed.

When Opie slapped a for sale sign on Piney's trike I wondered if Clay may buy it so he can ride

I personal love the show!, it seems like they really push the envelope on what they are allowed to show on network television. Great show.

Gotta watch it tonight, watched every episode, and honestly, this show, justified, and breaking bad are the only shows that make TV worth watching anymore. Crazy start, but ready to see a whole lot of badass stuff happen this year. I was happy for tig when he killed both of those guys after they burned his daughter.

I also like this show. It's like how I got hooked on the Soprano's except it's a biker club

    Soap operas for men.

I tried watch SOA but there was entirely too much drama in it. ;)

I really thought it was going to be Tig until Pope revealed his deal. Then I was sure it was going to be Ope. I just didn't expect it to be shown like that. Brutal. Tough to watch. Opie never caught a break in his "life". He was continuously dealt one blow after another.

    Tonight's show was just incredible.

I definitely didn't think Opie would get killed, but I think him hearing the truth about Piney's death from Jax did him in. I think he loved and supported Jax, but just couldn't be a part of SAMCRO anymore, plain and simple. It killed his wife, his old man, and ultimately killed him, but I think he was at peace with that because his death was his decision, and not the club's.

It will be interesting to see how the story evolves without Opie, because he was always tied to Jax, and regardless of the state of their relationship, Jax always turned to Opie. We'll see, but I trust Kurt Sutter.

Also, how freaking awesome is Harold Perrineau? I know a lot of people were disappointed when he was cast as Damon Pope, because a lot of people were looking for a more mainstream rapper/movie star/perceived gangster to play Pope, but Perrineau is brilliant. Everything he says is just chilling.

I agree with everything you said.

As far as Ope goes, he's been "ready" to die for a long time I think. I did however think that one day it would be Jax and Ope at the head of the table together.

As far as Perrineau goes, I can't tell you how many times I've turned to the girlfriend and said "Wow, this guy doesn't **** around". He's just cold. Brutally cold.
