Good luck to u guys out already. Jealous is s understatement. Well I'm to impatient to wait for our season to come in I decided to go on a elk hunt starting the 14th. Think u can use that for the contest if I'm lucky enough to kill one ????? Lol
Well I got all my Labor Day weekend chores done!! Discsed, seeded, and fertilized our 1.5 acre food plot and moved a couple stands around and oh yeah finally got a good buck on camera!! Oh I almost forgot we seemed to have missed out on Hermine too!! Now it's time for a couple cold ones!! Just have to trim a couple shooting lanes and I will be ready for October 1st!!
THWAAAAAACK! Last time someone nailed an opening weekend doe on my team we won! Here's to an awesome kick off to this thing for us! Congrats man! Hanging some final sets this weekend in the rain if weather will cooperate and then besides a couple pulls and plot checks won't be in the woods till opener.
I am in the same boat. I think I am going to hang 1 more set,(if I can get away with buying another set of ladder sticks from Academy), already have an extra hang-on. I have to swap batteries on my electric fence charger that is protecting the soybeans. Freshen up the mineral 1 last time, pull cards, and then vacate til opening day or my opening day. All depends on the weather as far as me going out to hunt. Call me a whimp, but I am not going to sit in 95+ degrees. I am not fast enough at field dressing to not ruin the meat in those temps.
I seen another shooter today. So I'm up to three on the hit list as long as I get to hunt. Hope they get me fixed up next week. Sent from my USCC-C6721 using Tapatalk
Great job McKaax! Sorry I haven't been on too much lately everyone but I moved a little over a week ago and just trying to get everything in order. My last camera pull had only does, a few fawns, and a spike. I haven't had a chance to check my second cam yet. Hopefully I can get that done this weekend. -Andrew
I'm with you Andrew. We just moved in to our house Monday night. Crazy times around here for sure! I will be hunting smarter this year and really make my sits count that's for sure. Having 4 month old twins and a going to be 4 year old is no joke!
