Good to meet ya Jason. You're right up the road then! Most of my hunting will be in Delaware but plan on some hunting at my in laws PA property. I've got a good friend, that was in the military with me, that's from Millville and moved back there several years ago. Small world! She's a hunter too so you might run into her in your area this year!

Certainly is a small world! What part of Delaware are you in? I very well could run into her if she does any upland game hunting? My family owns a commercial shooting preserve where we release pheasant, quail, and chukar!

Hey guys, checking in. You can call me rusty or Andrew and this is my second year in the contest. I am from NY so I am used to small woods and back yard bucks. I recognize some names from the forum and look forward to a good season with you guys.

Where do we stand on the vote for team name? Should we wait until all check in?

I am good with whatever name, but since Tyn threw it out there, I like Sons of Actaeon. So that get's my vote for the moment.

Alrighty guys, I'm hoping to put together some pics and my hit list soon. Summer has been crazy around here and I've hardly done a thing hunting wise other than setting up my bow. Haven't even had time to film much of anything for Bowhunt Or Die.

Got a couple projects that should wrap up here this week and then I'll be diving in preparations. I'm actually somewhat optomistic for the early season for once. This winter some of the nearby state land was clearcut as part of some moose habitat restoration. The deer are loving it and treating it as a destination food source, something that I never get to hunt here in the Big Woods.

The only "down-side" to my early season is that I'm going to miss a chunk of it when I head out to Colorado to film Todd on an elk hunt. It'll be a blast, but for the first time ever, I'm going to be sad to miss some early hunts since there's the makings of patternable deer. Colorado will pretty much take away all my September hunting with the exception of opening weekend, 17th & 18th here in MN.

For a guy who hasn't shot a buck in 7 years, I'm feeling pretty confident this year :tu:

Dude, the clear cutting is going to do amazing things for you Fitz deer and just well all animal wise!

Side note: I'm heading up to boundary waters next year...how close are you to the kick off spot? If anywhere near we should grab a bite to eat if able!

You going in through the Ely side or Grand Marais side? If you're heading through Ely, I'm only 3 miles from town. Depending on which way you drive up, you'll drive right by our driveway :tu:

I say Tyni for captain and either of the 1st two names. I can throw together a Team logo once it's all decided.

Is anyone else having issues with posting or getting updates or posting through their phones or is it just me? I can get logged in and everything but tells me it's restricted when I try to open this or any other thread. When I do it on the computer it works just fine, just doesn't work through tapatalk or through the bowhunting.com app.
