My son turns 16 this month and we have been keeping our eyes open for a good deal on a truck. Found this a couple hours away in our price range and we got the first mod done tonight. Got sticker is in the glass.:p
That's awesome. Unfortunately for me I need to be 17 in nj. Got a year and a half to go. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
They get their permit at 16 here but have to log so many hours and wait 6 months for their license. They also have to have passing grades.
That's awesome! I'll never forget my first set of wheels. Hopefully the headliner doesn't end up with foot prints all over it like mine did.....haha!
That's similar here. You get a permit at 16 and then you need to log a certain amount of hours behind the wheel before getting your license. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I had a camper shell, no windows and a memory foam type mattress and 2) 15" subs in the bed. Oh the good times.
My first car was a chevy Corsica. The shocks were going out on it. It was like driving on a cloud. I loved that car.
My first truck was a Chevy S10 that got up to 210,000 miles. Sold it to a guy down the street 3 years ago and still see it driving around.
That's not good at all. We get our learner's permit when we're 15 here. You have to take classes and instruction from a state licensed instructor. But you can drive accompanied by an adult with a driver's license. I took the test and they issued my license right after I turned 16. There are some restrictions until you turn 18. That's a nice truck though.
When I got my license, they were still chiseling them in stone......Dang, aging myself again ! Actually, when I got my license, I took so many hours of behind the wheel thru the high school, then took the test and got my license bout 3 days after my 16th birthday .
that's a great first "car"! I had the GMC version...Sonoma Highrider. Very nice little truck. I think I had about 130k on it when I sold it for college. I saw it in a mall parking lot like 4 years later (still had my IU sticker and same dealer decal on the back) with only a little cab corner rust. Made me really wish I hadn't sold it since I had already been through 2 vehicles since and ended up spending more money on fixing those crapboxes than I would have making payments on the truck. I was looking around a month or so ago just to see if I could pick one up on the cheap just for hunting/camping. Any one with less than 100k and rust-free was listed at around $10 grand. They stopped making them 12 years ago and still holding value very well.
