My son got his first deer last night. A doe at 40 yards with a crossbow. I need suggestions on how I can help him remember this. I have the arrow and a great picture of him with his deer. I was thinking about making something for him.

Thats awesome. My Gpa framed a 4 picture frame with 3 pics of me and him and my first deer and in the 4th spot he had a little plaque that said my name/date/90# doe/ pope co. IL. I need to dig that thing out and dust it off. You could do something like that

Congrats to both of you!! I'd say have the arrow and picture framed, maybe save a lower leg and see if a taxidermist can make a thermometer leg mount

I have the tail from my first doe. we just sprinkled borax on it and let it dry. You could do a shadow box with something similar (though it'd be hard for the bolt to fit in).

Congrats to your son, that's awesome! I still have the arrow from my first deer, almost 13 years ago.
