I hate plenty of non-mainstream music. Bad music is bad music. That opening guitar riff made me hate the song from the beginning. Then he began to sing. And then I listened to the lyrics.

Not a huge fan of some of the new country, while it may not be mainstream it's targetted at a specific audience as opposed to really good music that can cross every genre and have fans from anywhere. That being said I think Jason Aldeans "Dirt Road Anthem" sucks, it sounded more genuine(still didn't love it) when Brantley Gilbert and Colt Ford did it originally, any thoughts from you guys that are Gilbert or Aldean fans on that? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fPkO7f64WqM&feature=related
Right now on You tube there are 8,514 likes and dislikes. I am the 138th dislike. Song is average at best.
I like Brantley Gilbert and country music but why do people seek the approval of others for what kind of music they like?? Not picking on you buckmaster becasue there are many threads like this but who really cares what kind of music you listen to??

It's just entertaining to see others taste in music, I don't think anyone is "seeking approval", I just post a song that stands out from time to time, and look at the different types of taste, really that's about it for me. And although I rarely click a song link Hooker posts anymore, I enjoy his input. :D I think the one about mellow mushrooms or something like that did it for me... ? :D

I learned the last time not to click on Hooker's song links. After listening to the first one for 30 seconds I figured they couldn't get worse so I clicked on the next one. I was wrong !!!!! :D By far the worst one was a band Dan linked. " Mumfords and Sons " or something like that. I thought it sucked something horrid and now it's on the radio all the time. Lately I've been listening to a Lacuna Coil. Swamped, Spellbound and I like it... are a couple songs of theirs I like. Otherwise I listen to a little Foo Fighters, Evanensence, Hale Storm and Disturbed. Tim
