Went did a little scouting this afternoon and as I was walking by one of my cams figured wth and looked to see how many pics were taken. With it only having a 2gb card for now I check them every two weeks or so. Anyway the first thing I noticed was a big milk weed had sprouted up right in front of cam. So checked and card was full and out of 862 pics only 21 were actual animals, mostly turkeys. Guess that'll teach me not to knock down weeds when set them up ha.
I learned not to set a camera up with ripe foxtail growing in front of it. 3400 pictures of it blowing in the wind. Tim
i always get really excited when i have 200+ pictures and then i get so depressed when only 20 of them are of animals...
Do you guys remember the days of 35 mm trailcams? Where you had to decide if you were going to pull the 36 exposure roll when it has only 20 pics on it. Then decide if you wanted to pay extra for one hour photo processing or wait the 3 days to have it sent off? Then you get the pictures and there's three doe pics and 17 pictures of squirrels and 'possums. LOL
I always take the weed eater when setting my cams. It usually only takes once a year with that to keep them down. Blessings.........Pastorjim
My mp6 black had 7200 pics in 3 weeks, lots of night pics. Going to have to turn the sensitivity down a bit
Ha yea I've got mine in the medium setting for sensitivity. Planningon setting them out this weekend for a long soak with bigger cards so looks like better take the weedeater along. Got another cam on a bean field so hopefully its not same situation.
