Thats awesome! Congrats! Nothing like taking your kids into the woods and teaching them from your mistakes and sucesses! This is my 14 year olds first year bowhunting too... he has killed one with a shotgun, but I cannot wait for him to put one down with an arrow... I just hope it isnt bigger then any of mine or else I will never hear the end of it! Last weekend during opening weekend we were hunting and texting back and forth. I had him in a good crossing path that I knew he would see some walking thru. I put down a doe about 1 1/2 into the hunt, texted him and told him to keep hunting till dark. about a 1/2 hour before dark i got down and started filed dressing the deer and the heat mixed with the piss poor gut shot I made made me gag a few times. When i went to get him out of the stand he says " Pop... im pretty upset right now, had a buck coming into me.. but he got spooked" I said why son did he bust you moving ? He said " No , he heard you PUKEING" I guess the sound traveled further down the river bottom then I thought ...
