I work crazy hours 4pm-4am and I always drive the long way home. Past some bean fields and an orchard. Always looking for deer. Anyway, on my way home the other night, I heard some dogs barking. I continued down the road and saw a pitbull trying to get something. I backed up a little to shine my headlights. I saw a huge porcupine and a pit with a face full of quills. I didn't even know we had porcupines around here. Never seen one. I went back in picked up a couple of quills, the longest was over 11".

The thing about pitbulls is they'll keep at it until every square inch of their head is covered in quills... ouch!

Pits are tough animals thats for sure, when they want something dead, they will find a way.

Maize...my 85lb pit is sitting in my lap looking at the screen...my daughter just got done beating on him. I know no one said they are "mean" or "bad" yet, but these alway end up like rage threads. I guarantee if he got ahold of a porcupine he would do the same. They are not "quitters" if you will. There is a picture somewhere on the net of a pit that has hundreds of quills all in his face. Hurts me to look at it. Maybe one of you can post it, it will definatly show the nature of the beast.
