Well I finally did it. I've always wanted to take an entire month off during the hunting season to be able to hunt all I wanted during the rut. Today I was able to arrainge my schedule to have off from Oct 20th thru Nov. 20th. Seems when I've tried to take extended times off before during the season, something always came up to break up the time or it got canceled completely. Looks like I might just make it this time. I know it might not be a big deal to some but it's something I always wanted to do. And if I should get lucky enough to kill something nice before that time, I'll just take my wife somewhere tropical.

    Blessings......Pastorjim

Good Luck Pastorjim and enjoy every single moment. I get 33 days of Personal Time Off and someday down
the road I would like to do the same. I have to wait until my boys are out of the house.

We're in the same industry pastor jim. I took off two weekends (I work weekend option) and have 20 days off in Oct. Mine was actually for a tropical vacation for my birthday, but my better half's schedule got messed up, so now it's a hunting vacation!

You must have one of those cushy gov. jobs... I get 12 a year. This year its equating to 1 week of vacation, 3 days over thanksgiving for hunting and the rest for sick days.

Or you just work for a cheap company. :poke: I do not work for the government and I get 20 Paid Time Off days and 10 Holidays, in 3 more years I'll hit 15 years of service with my current company and my PTO time will go to 25 days a year. :nana:
