    I found this skull while shed hunting today. Any thoughts? The bone is growing straight up from the joint in the center of the skull.

    that is pretty interesting.. Don't think a camera will do much good, chances of getting a picture of him would be pretty slim HA! sorry couldn't help myself, had to say it.

    Could be a piece of the pedicle (antler growth site) has broken off and adhered to the middle of the skull, causing an antler to grow there.

    I didn't see where there would have been antlers growing in the normal location. So I'm not at all sure if it was a buck or if it was a rhino deer. Some of the paw prints I have found in the area maybe the cause of death. Was one of about ten deer I found dead.

    Ya. Its becoming a little more usual around here. But ill just say its not a house cat print that I can fit my fist into. Been rumors but the dead deer and all of the prints are easy signs to the kitty being in the area.
