Just dropped it down to 20 acres including the lake for $225K yesterday and the realtor called and has 3 showings scheduled for next week. Could the size of the property have been scaring people off?
It is still for sale. Have someone coming today to look at it. You can see it here: http://www.remax.com/property/100650384-60600118/27080-550TH-ST-Chariton-IA-50049/
I just got done with the insurance adjuster, new roof going on. With the new roof, new ac, new carpet, and newer hardwood floors and tile, the freaking place is practically new.
I wish I didn't have 4 years left to retire from the Army, properpty looks great! I want something like that when I do retire, my own land to hunt and live off of.
You know what Schuls, you should pick out a place now, buy it and start paying it down before you retire.
LOL IowaVeteran I would LOVE to, but paying on a house I just bought in May down here at Ft Rucker then the truck/boat/Harley. Gotta pay those off before I retire!
Showings tomorrow and next two Sundays. Tomorrow is for the house and 20 acres. Next Sunday is the whole property. The weekend after that is also the whole place. I hope the guy who looks at it tomorrow buys it!
had the same people look at the place 4 times! Each time they were out here, they walked around for 2 hours at least. The last time they were here was Tuesday and they said they would make their decision by today. I called the realtor and she told me they were leaning towards another place but she had not heard back from them yet. My realtor called me ten minutes later and said they were making an offer on the other place and if it did not work out were coming back to mine. Then, I spoke with their realtor again and found out they made an offer on the other place on Wednesday and weren't going to say anything until they knew whether or not they could talk the seller down. I know the couple that was out here and they said when they made the decision I would be the first one they called. I still haven't heard from them personally, but if their other deal falls through, I'm tempted be an *** just like they've been. Let them wait for several days and then respond with "I decided not to sell right now." Pull it off the market for a day and then put it back on.
As much as it sucks how they are handling it Mark don't think that would be a wise move. Do that and they might just walk away. You have been trying to sell this for awhile now and this sounds like the best chance so far. Guess since you can't seem to get rid of it you should just put a big Bowhunting.com sign on the front of it and make it a comunal place for all of us! How in the hell do you spell comunal? Is that right? Oh who cares! Good luck selling it buddy!
The problem is: Your better than that. That's not you. Just stand solid like you always have and always will and in good timing, the deal will happen. Then you can get on with second guessing having sold the place.LOL
I really wish I was retiring soon instead of 3.5 years from the Army, would love property like that, hope it sells soon for you Sent from my DROID RAZR using Tapatalk 2
Have two showings next week and one guy who is interested but has to sell his present property before he can buy here. I turned down his offer subject to sell and told him that if my place is still on the market when he sells his place, I'll knock $5k off the price.
