Hi fellow bowhunters. I was at work today thinking of the upcoming season starting here in NY October 1st. I must say we are all blessed as bowhunters, not gonna get all mushy but what GOD has given us, and the Greatest Country in the world allows us to do is with a doubt a GOD SEND! Soon we will all be sitting in our stands, blinds, stalking, with bow in hand going after a beautiful animal that the Good Lord Above has put on this earth for our consumption, and I gotta say we should all kiss the ground we live on!! hmmm, i just assumed other states were like here in PA. all seasons start/end on saturdays, when the most guys can get out.
Our archery season has historically always started on a date ... For years it was OCT 15, they since changed it to the first. Our regular season for years started on the third Monday of November, after lots of *****ing and complaining they moved it ..in their infinite wisdom to the 3rd Saturday of November . NY will never amount to anything for a whitetail state. Without major changes. For example shorter firearms seasons that don't coincide with the rut....
