One week into a 15 week season and it has started great. 2 deer down and I have my sights on a shooter buck on the farm where I still have a buck tag.

You guys wouldn't believe the number of deer sightings I have had this first week so I won't share it, but it is a lot, albeit some of the deer are the same ones in that I have hunted some of my stands multiple times already. I am very blessed in that I have multiple places to hunt scattered around so as to not burn any one area out too much.

Also, I don't have any other bowhunters around me so the only pressure the deer have felt in the fisrt week is what I apply.

However, that will change (actually started occurring this past weekend) as the regular season(all weapons can be utilized) starts in four weeks and I have lots of neighboring gun hunters who are out stinking up the woods in preparation.

Here are some of my pics the first week. Only 14 weeks left.....can't wait until this afternoon.

Nice pics...are the spots along the back of that 7 point common in your area?

I have seen it on a couple of others this year but I have no idea why. I am assuming it has something to do with the transition between summer/winter coats but I am hoping someone on here can enlighten me.
