I have wanted the midland since last season. My brother has a camera that doesn't have a viewing screen. He just mounts it, shoots a short video and plugs it in while it is still mounted. if any adjustments need to be made he makes them. The midland can strap to the stabilizer and also mounts to the bow behind the stabilizer. It has a head band type strap and a hat clip that mounts on the bill of a hat and also has a tree screw type mount. As for batteries buy rechargeable. Also, look at the price. you can find it online from around $90-$120. Not bad. Here are the specs on it: Features include 480p SD resolution, 140° wide angle lens, 640 x 480 standard definition @ 30FPS, 4:3 Aspect Ratio, Battery Life indicator, Low Memory indicator, USB 2.0 file transfer, uses micro SD card (not included) and 2 AAA batteries (included). Includes universal Velcro® strap, visor, tree and bow mounts.
Midland now has a XTC 200, XTC 300 and XTC 350 serries. the 200 is 720/60p and the 300 is 1080p. They both have rechargable packs and the 300 comes with a semergable case. The 200 is around $150 and the 300 is around $250. The 300 will not be available until July though. The 350 is the camo version of the 300 serries. It will be available sometime in August and is also $250.
