So does anyone or has anyone used soda ash for a mineral site. I guess my uncle in Tennessee uses it but I'm not sure if it will have the same affect up here in Minnesota. Any thought ? And does anyone know if it could have any adverse effects?

I bought some mineral this year but I can not remember the name. It was antler something or other. Anyway, when I was reading the ingredients I realized that there was soda ash in it. Quite a bit of it at that. It seems to be working well for me. I'm assuming it shouldn't have adverse effects since the product was specifically manufactured for deer.

It's a common food additive and I think the ingredient in Deer Cain. I don't know there's really any benefit beyond an attractant and salt does that.

After some research and visiting my local grain elevator. Soda ash is sodium bicarbonate which is basically baking soda. I still bought a bag and will let you guys know how it works out.
