I was outside practicing with my bow yesterday & it was so darn windy. I'd shoot the arrow into the target & the wind would take it off the mark that I was aiming at. How do you fight the wind when you're target hunting or actually hunting?
ty, I was pretty far away. And, the wind happen to be whipping right through the area (like a tunnel)where my target is set.
When hunting, I shorten my effective range. When shooting target, I'll give it a quarter/half bubble or so, depending on the distance and wind speed.
I mostly hunt from my ground blind & I don't like to take very long shots when I hunt. I feel like I'm still a rookie at this. Although I've gun hunted all my life. I've only picked up bow hunting about 5 years ago. I still have a lot to learn. I've learned a lot reading all of your posts through the years. ty
