yesterday, the dogs are all up under the wheel well on one of my jeeps but both cats are accounted for so I didn't worry about it. Today, after driving over half the county, I popped the hood. Guess this is what the dogs were after.
ihunt, I just left him alone. Its a rat snake and they do get fairly long. I'm guessing this one is 3' or more from what I could tell. Not sure where he is now.... he moved. Course, he didn't move like I did! I jumped pretty damn quick when I saw him because my hand was about a foot away on the side of the fender.
I dont understand the snake fear. Never once, ever, has a snake gave me the willies, made me jump...or even remotely scared me. Not even poisonous ones. I have 3 fears in life. STD's Spiders LOTS of bees/wasps (>10) Snakes...not so much. That picture is pretty sweet though.
spiders dont bother me, but no matter how big/small a snake is i'll get a lil' chill..... worst ever was when i held my buddy's python. SOB was behind my neck and i held it with both arms out and he (the snake) turned and looked at me dead in the eyes! i wanted to cut his fricking head off! yuck!
