I'm making this for myself, but I'm sure there are some other people that would find peoples input on this useful. So let's hear it: if you have a foodplot that didn't work out, what's plan B for food/attraction. Especially early season. [IMG]

My foodplot currently looks like this. Thanks!

Throw out some oats, wheat, or rye hope for a bit of rain. That stuff comes up in no time.
Edit: just saw literally everyone before me said the exact same thing.

My plots look the same way - severe lack of rain in September just killed us. Ugh.

I've killed plenty of deer without food plots. Hunt ag fields or natural food sources for now, then key in on doe bedding areas and funnels come the rut. Keep it simple. Just because your plot didn't grow doesn't mean you can't kill deer.

Yes, definitely find out what they are feeding on and get in their travel route. Focus on ag fields and acorns.

    Justin nailed it!
Sadly sitting over food plots is what hunting has become for some.
Get in the timber and HUNT them, don't just sit and wait for them to come to dinner!!
