The boat Jeff is how Yota came in and treated their workers. It's not just about pricing, healthcare and other stuff. It's about relationships with the workforce, Yota does a better job in how they treat their workforce. This leads to a better product, and everyone getting behind the vision of a company.

To this day majority labor in GM, and a good part of salarly workforce does not believe in GM's vision at all.

Dealers are another issue, Jeff I just bought a new Truck. My first new truck ever, I tried like hell to give GM my money, but the dealers just don't get it.

Ross Perot was on GM's board in the 80's, he told them they are headed for bankruptcy if they did not change the way they do business. They paid him a billion dollars to leave, see a pattern yet?

Why did the dealers fail in your quest to buy a GM?

Very well put and I can attest to this. I have kicked myself everyday for the last 4 months for leaving Toyota and going to Ford. I once woke up everyday and loved going to work and took pride in my job. Now I have to give myself a pep talk just to walk from my car to the employee entrance.

    Because they do not listen!!!!!!

Perot in th late 80's dressed in a flannel shirt and jeans and no one helped him. GM dealers and GM still have an arrogance about them. They still think to this day someone will buy a car, becasue it says "GM" on it.

I shopped for a month for a truck, I gave each dealer my list of what I wanted, how much my budget was I wanted to spend.

I can tell you guys Dodge dealers in my area are selling a pile of cars right now. They sold 13 one night I was there.

Did they have what you wanted? I don't see why they wouldn't sell you what you want.

That is a very good qustion, I don't understand it either. All I can tell you I gave my list to Ford and Dodge and they both had trucks for me to test drive with what I wanted.

I wouldn't buy a Toyota because it isn't what I'm looking for in a truck. The older dependable Tundras are too small of a body for my tastes, and I just don't like the new ones style at all.

I'll prob stick with my 06 Ford for 2-3 more years before trading up again. Unless something changes, my next truck will likely be a 2500 duramax anyway.
