So this weekend my wife's store had a tent sale where they reduced half the store to 80% off. They use this weekend to get rid of old product. You can get some serious deals. The sale started at 8 am Saturday morning, and women were camping out to get in line at 6:30 pm on Friday. I worked one tent to help out. I was disappointed we did not see any real fights. A few shoving matches but nothing too exciting. When they opened the "gates", women were running everywhere just grabbing stuff, they were not even looking to see what they were grabbing, they would just throw stuff in their bags, then go run to a corner and protect their new stuff like a mother protecting her young. Women be crazy.
Last year during Black Friday sales in Dothan, AL an old lady tasered someone at Best Buy because they were fighting over some game for the Xbox. Talk about crazy!
Yeah it was assumed some of the women were just buying the stuff to resale on eBay. Especially the woman with 6 car seats My wife did get a $350 car seat for $75.
Hence the mentality, really she just got a $75 dollar car seat, that was made overseas by child labor for a total cost of about 3 bucks.
Do you really think German craftsmen hand assemble car seats? The most expensive component in that seat was shipping it here.
You think any engineering, testing, licensing, tooling costs go into making that car seat? Expensive stuff John. They just don't start popping them out a $3 a piece with no up front cost.
guys are just as bad. last year at a black friday sale event at *icks sporting goods i seen two men late 50's get into a slug fest over a camo wall's suit that was marked down to 35 dollars. lol
