Because it was probably false information just like 90% of what was reported initially. I have no reason to doubt the police Leutinant and he reported the next morning it was a Bushmaster. Watch it again tfox. This is not the day of the event. This was later with not ONE guy but several officials at local and state level saying the same thing. Listen to the complete report... not just the guy making noise. I think your police chief at the time did NOT have or did NOT accurately portray the information. And as an added bit of thought.... we never saw the guns or anything. Any other time there would be cameras all over them. I say it's a played scene.

Not a whole lot I believe when it comes to the media and this event. There has been plenty of time for them to compile all the information and make a truthful report, but has this happened? Seems as though some body does not want the real information out there....
