2009 Bushnell Trophy Cam. This years has had quite a few issues. Battery life is unbelievable. Any cam that runs on AAs with give you long battery life.

I like my 2010 Bushnell cams, but night pics cam be blurry. IMO Predator makes an all around top notch cam. NO red glow at all, extended night range, fast trigger speed, and setup very nicely. Just my opinion though

When you are talking trailcam and not feeder cam, nothing, and I mean absolutely nothing compares to a Reconyx. Yes I know they are expensive but you will probably buy and replace three cams to one Reconyx. And you will also have the assurance that you are missing nothing. If it walks by your camera, you will get a picture. JMHO

I have owned a few different brands in the $150-$250 range. My Cuddeback Captures have been the most dependable for pics. I have a Moultrie I-40 that has unbelievable battery life, but I have had some problems with it. I also can't say I like my Stealth Cams much either.

I would love to have a Reconyx. However I can't justify buying one, when I could have 2 Cudde Captures for the same price.

Glad you got a good one......we've had 4 Capture duds. Batter life has sucked on all of them......sucked majorly. The flash models do take nice pics though. IR Capture is a joke.

Probably reconyx! I don't have one personally, but has to be only cam I haven't heard anything bad about. I have heard alot of negative things about cuddeback failures.

    Best trail cam

IMO for the money get a SpyPoint. They are a relatively new company but have great equipment. Dollar for dollar best cams on the market

I just got a Spypoint cam. Haven't check it yet, but checked some reviews online. It ranked 2nd, right behind Reconyx. I got mine for $199.

    SpyPoint Cam

Which model did you get? I got an IR-B 7MP for my first cam last year. I have been very pleased. Bought it through Sportsmans Guide. GREAT deals. You can go to www.spy-point.com and click on the Photos & Videos link and on IR-B 7mp. My pics are on page 1 and 1st pic on page 2.

For what you had asked in the OP, and if price matters, than the bushnell trophy cams (can be bought for around $160) are the best cams around. Great trigger speed, up to a year in battery life with 8 aa batteries and nice and compact so they would be a little tougher to spot for thieves.

I am happy so far with my Spypoint IR-6MP. Pictures are clear and sharp. I don't know about the trigger speeds, but this buck just walked into view.
