How many of you guys have had a camera stolen? Did you ever find the cam or the thief?

If I order a couple more cams (like I'm planning) then I know the odds will be against me but its a chance I'm willing to take. What pisses you off more...the fact they stole YOUR camera or they know whats on it?

I have only ever had one camera stolen from me. It was a cheap 35mm Stealth Cam that I really didn't care about. I set it up on land that my buddies hunting land overlooking a corn field. I didn't lock it to the tree because I had several digital units and really didn't care if it was stolen. Two weeks later I went to check it and it was gone. Fastforward to a year later and while scouting the same property I notice a Stealth Cam set up on a tree not 5 yards from where I had put mine, I walked over and sure enough, my name was still carved into the top of the unit so I grabbed it and left a note stating (in not such nice words) that the guy wasn't too bright to steal my camera and set it up in the same location the following year!

Fortunately I have never had a camera stolen, 'knock on wood'...It makes me mad when I hear about people getting their cams stolen, and I've heard many bad stories. Sucks...

I had one stolen within 200 yards of my house. I hated that moultrie so the fact it was gone didn't bother me. What pissed me off was that someone stole something right behind my house!
