im not much for comparing athletes, only because the older i get, the more humble i get. i wow at any pro athlete, tennis, race car driving, bowler etc. each is great in his/her own arena. now this MMA stuff is a different world all together! try grabbing one of your buddy's and wrestling around for 30 seconds and just listen to your heart race and see how much air you are sucking in! i dont fault HW but if he is serious, i say go for it.... but them guys out there are NOTHING to mess with!
Herschel will fight a few can's in smaller orgs, get a few wins under his belt and then probably end up in Strikeforce where he will participate in a few "freak show" type events, maybe win 1 or 2, then he will face a true top 30 HW somewhere because they know they will sell PPV's with is name and his undefeated record..........and he will get slaughtered. I have a feeling his opponents will be hand picked for his first several events so that the promotions can build some additional value to an already recognizable name.
I think he's already in Strikeforce. He's either (according to who you cite) a 5th or 6th degree taekwondo blackbelt.....and he's been competing in MA tournaments since he was in college. His trainer says he's 47, going on 22. How many people just starting out get a shot at a "top 30" fighter in their 1st 2yrs? I have no idea.
