I'm talking about the afterlife. I find these threads about lifes uncertainties pretty amusing. Do you really believe that you will someday meet up again with your deceased loved ones and friends? Do you believe in the whole heaven / hell thing? Or do you think when lifes over, that's it - bam , lights out, end of story? How about reincarnation? Or maybe we start a whole new life all over again without any recollection of our previous one (or ones)?. I'm not knocking anyones religion or beliefs here ,I'm all kinds of open minded, just curious abouts others thoughts on the subject. This ought to be good.
Interesting you bring this subject up. It's something I "struggle" with on a regular basis, and the feeling only becomes stronger the more I experience life as an adult (I'm not that old ya know:D). There have been events in my life recently that make me go back and forth in terms of my beliefs, so I don't have a direct answer for you. I've talked to PT about this a lot, and he's been very helpful with things, and I don't think it hurts to ask questions, but I know, in the end, no one knows for certain until the time comes. I have too many questions that can't be answered for me to truly be set in my beliefs. Like, for instance, why are there are planets, solar systems, galaxies, etc, if God originated it all? Are we the only ones, and if we are, why all of the "rest?" Why were dinosaurs created and then subsequently destroyed if God was behind it then? Why do innocent people die on a daily basis while the evil milk tax dollars for years in luxury prisons, or even worse, allowed free after a few years of prison? For a heaven such as the one described in Christianity, why aren't those there able to communicate/send signs to loved ones on earth if there is obviously a connection between the spiritual world and the physical one? What happens to the millions of people on earth whom don't practice Christianity (if you truly believe Christianity is the only way to heaven)? I'm not knocking Christianity, in fact, I consider myself a Christian, just one who questions A LOT (whether that's good or bad, it's just how I am). In fact, I find it hard to believe that ANYTHING (or everything if you're a believer of the big bang theory) can originate from NOTHING. But, at the same time, if you trace everything back to God, who created God? Can God start from nothing? Sorry for the rant, it's definitely a subject I'm REALLY interested in.
I want to be reincarnated as a pro hunter that drinks beer/whiskey while waiting to put a Big Buck Down, all on film , of course. Or maybe just a regular hunter that is better than a pro hunter........ Perhaps I will convert to islam and be a martyr for allah so I can get the 72 virgins............. Maybe I'll just be a good christian like pat robertson and just go to heaven............ More than likely, after the cremation, I'll just be plant fertilizer.
