Since I had an entire day to sit in a tree doing and seeing absolutly nothing I got to wondering what everyone has that is new. I know as the season approaches we all start talking about new stuff we want. My question is for those of you that have had your first trip out this year already. What did you have up in the tree with you that you did not have at the last hunt of last season? I had a new Lonewolf stand and sticks which I just picked up yesterday. And definetly worth getting. I also had my new ScentBlocker boots and Garmin Rino 530HCx GPS. The only other item I had that was new from last year is my Heartland Bowhunter hat!
My bow (Allegiance) and all of it's accessories.... Gray wolf woolens wolfskin. Lone wolf sit and climb still waiting on the delievery of my LW assault and 4 LW sticks. Rage 2 blades. I think everything else is carry over.
Rage 2 blades, also A Bow Bat, which btw, is frickin awesome Things I discovered that I really need: An aluminum climber (mine weighs a ton), and a Therma Cell(?)-the skitters are eating me alive!
still waiting for my land owner to give me the go ahead when he has gotten his fill of doves... but i will have NEW: 10x42 monarch binocs nikon range finder bibs (UA) lone wolf alpha + sticks
New Hoyt Katera New Easton Axis NANO arrows New Ultimate Camo pants, jacket, head cover, hat and gloves. New Cabelas boots from tha bargain cave with Scentlock and 600gr insulation with Gore Tex. New Backpack that my wife got from a discount grocery store for 10 bucks in APG, hahahaha.
I got me some new Eastons, and a new release, but it isn't really 'new'. I made it from 2 others that I didn't like. It's pretty nice now. And I got a new string on my 14-year old Darton. I did get me a 'new' Summit Razor climber from a guy on Craigslist, but I haven't picked it up yet. It's one of the new climbers that are open in the front. I can't wait to take it out.
Slick Tricks and a set of brown Deception Predator Deception Camo. I had picked up some Herter Rain Camo for elk hunting with Troy ( didn't get to happen ) . I used it quite a bit with all the rain we got this fall. It is a little on the dark side ( Mossy Oak Breakup ) for our area but worked well for early season hunting. Now all's that I need is something to turn this damn SE wind in a different direction. The only wind dierction that sucks for hunting in all my spots in the mornings. Tim
New this year for me is: 10X42 bushnell trophy bino's Bushnell Scout 1000 w/arc - need to remember to bring it with me.... Tracer nocks Dream Season Pro boots Oh yea.......and unfortunately a new Garmin Etrex Vista HCX to replace my other one sitting at the bottom of Lake Shelbyville.
So far so good....The only thing I do not like is the snaps that are on the inside of the boots. If you like to put your pants inside of the boots and walk.....the snaps have a tendency of comming undone....However as long as you keep your pants on the outsinde there are no problems....They are VERY comfortable!
My bow (Myst), arrows, and all accesories Vortex Binos RedHead lightwieght fleece and a new raingear top Today I picked up some new Bone-Dry rubber boots Oh yea...and my Heartland Bowhunter hat
