Help me out because I did some research on-line and the answer is still unclear to me. My understanding is that it is possible to get ESPN with an Xbox and subscribing to Xbox live without a separate log-in from a paid subscriber. Is this true or not? Or is it simply just another "Watch ESPN" app where you need a log-in? Has anyone actually done this or have a good source on if this is possible?
I tried to do it and for me it was just a watch the espn app where you needed to enter your cable provider in order to get it
ESPN gives NOTHING away for free. Someone always pays. If it isn't you, it is someone else paying for you.
Well, it could make sense since you have to have the extra subscription for the Gold Live thing. And that isn't true either because they do give away some of the lower profile sports they cover for free on the Watch ESPN app without a log in.
I would gladly pay $10/month for all the ESPN channels. But I'm not paying $80/month for cable and that would be about the only thing I would watch that I don't get now for free.
My guess is your cable or sat TV provider pays close to $10 a month for the rights to deliver ESPN content to you.
