I don't think so...they did, after all buy into the Obama Care nonsense, when anyone with half a brain could foresee the massive imbalance in demand relative to available supply of providers.

As horrible as it is to day, i think this country was booming when everyone knew "their place". Flame on...

 

Idiocracy will be our downfall, and it already has a head of steam. By this, I mean the producers, thinkers and do'ers stop or slow down on the number of children they have because they put their careers, and goals ahead of raising children. At the same time, the undereducated, lower class followers have children at a very high rate because of the incentives involved with having multiple children. These children grow up in a dumbed down, undereducated environment, and the cycle will continue to spiral until we have nothing but a dumbed down, follower society.

 

I would clarify this with I think this country was booming when everyone knew what their status was but with HARD WORK and not handouts they could improve their situation. They knew that the only things guaranteed were life, liberty, and the PURSUIT of happiness. When a person took pride in receiving pay for working hard. When employees were loyal to their employers and the employers were loyal to their employees. When Americans for the most part worshipped God and kept the Sabbath holy while toiling the rest of the week to care for their families.

 

Sharia law, it is literally the law of God.

 

The downfall already happened....it was the moment that the ideals of freedom and liberty held by the majority, gave way to a new majority who accepted the premise that socialism is a better alternative. This new majority was incubated by a pop culture and public educational system invaded and overwhelmed by socialists and socialist sympathizers.

The nation has been gliding on former greatness, of the former and by the latter for several decades now.

 

We are no longer the world power we once were. With the ACA, the way taxes are, the corruptness of the government, it is just a matter of time before things implode. People seem to be content to live off government assistance and take free handouts and not work for anything. Before anyone says anything, i am NOT knocking those who are on it that actually need it. My wife and I were on it for about a year. We got married and about the time she got pregnant, I unexpectedly lost my job. We moved in with my Dad and she got on WIC and Medicaid. Within a year or so, i was back to a full time job and had gotten us back to where we were before hand. People abuse it way too much.

I am shocked Canada has not collapsed yet, with their Government Run healthcare.

Yeah.. Cuba, North Korea, China.... that's where people want to live!
