So what do you think will be the downfall of this country? And how far away are we?

Just curious.

 

The mindset that has already infiltrated our society in that those that don't produce have a right to all the same things had by those that do produce.

 

Everyone is equal and we all deserve something. That will be the downfall. Because the truth is, we are not all equal and we don't deserve jack.

 

That might be the downfall of our current ideals, but there a plenty of true socialist societies thriving today, so...

No longer the world power and my answer remains the same.

Complete collapse will take an energy crisis or sickness outbreak.

 

Two things off the top of my head are the current 'bubble/bust' trend of our economy, and the Left and Right side of the politics continuing to widen more and more to the point where there is no compromising.

Combine those, and it's a perfect storm.

 

The continued shrinking of the middle class will be a major downfall. The ACA will be a blow to working families as well. I think this countries downfall will be an economic one.

 

Glad it only took 10 posts for Obamacare and the total collapse of the world as we know it to be linked.

 

Internal strife when millions of hard working folks will get ripped-off of the money they paid into the Social Security Ponzi scheme. It will be a battle pitting young working folks against older retired folks.

 

Who's going to pay for it? I'll give you a hint. It's all of us.

 

Pretty sure most young people have already resigned to that fact that they will never see a dime of social security.

 

Once we finally get the immigration reform act passed we'll have more tax payers to help us.

 

I think when the country no longer recognized God as the leader of the nation. when man became the ultimate power we no longer had a chance, as a Christian nation we were #1 because of God. I think the farther our nation gets from God the worse things will get.

 

God being number one is really helping Iran out, just saying.

 

If you start the thread, the least you can do is give us your opinion to correct.

 

Economy collapse, we're almost there now.

I agree with the shrinking middle class idea, that at some point the gap between the wealthy and poor will cause a revolution.

I don't think we are anywhere near that though.
