but what about batteries, do you buy the expensive ones, cheap ones, rechargeable ones? Just curious trying to see what the masses are up to.

I put Duracell batteries in my 3 Coverts and they have been out since the summer and they are still going strong (7) and they all have 5-7 thousand pics per cam since the summer time.

i use energizer if i have them around the house... but i mostly use Rayovak. they are not the dirt cheap ones, but they are cheaper and can buy in larger packs at Wal Mart. I recently got a few 40 AA packs from Hoem depot for like $6 maybe.. they are the cheap ones but i will use them and expect them to make it through the summer.

All my AA coverts and bushnell are awesome on matteries. I have one old C moultrie that does pretty dang good too, it just doesnt take as many pictures as the others so that may have a little to do with it.

Cameras are too effiecent on batteries to justify the cost of good rechargeable batteries.

Pretty much what Oly said, Duracell, energizer, or rayovac. I've had mine out since April or May and have yet to change batteries. For probably half the year the way I had them set there was no delay before it would trigger again and three shot burst so I'd have like 30 or more pics in a few minute time if the deer was just standing in front of camera whole time.

I use rechargeables in nearly all my cameras. With 15-18 cameras it only makes sense to be able to use batteries over and over.

Used dollar general batteries but ended up changing them like every 3 weeks so use Duracell now.

Energizer lithium's. More expensive but last the entire season. Pay the extra to avoid checking cam after a month or so to find it dead. Only complaint is they show on the cams as having full battery to dead next day. Hard to know when they are going to go and I've had some last into a second season.

We use Eneloops for everything! Being we have three kids we would go through 60 AA batteries a month. They are truly awesome batteries and from my experience better performance then any alkaline. Hard to stomach the intial purchase but save a boat load in the long run. Also environmentally friendly!

I have used every type of alkaline but when I have the money Energizer Lithium's get the nod. They last forever, even in the latest extreme cold they survived in my Moultrie M-80XDs. Never had good luck with cheaper batteries.

i got some duracell "procells" through my work. Not too impressed with them. Not sure why they are different then regular duracells but I will stick to rayovacs then the regular engergizer or duracells.

I ran some lithiums in my m80 and can see the added performance, but hate it the battery meter dont quite read them right and dont feel they are worth the extra cost in my trail cameras.
