So MN rifle season opens in the morning. I'm planning on sitting and videoing my brother. We set up tonight in his tree, and checked his trail camera. Well, up until now I haven't been even tempted to get a rifle tag, then I saw this..... Looks like I'll be headed back across the lake after this weekend, bow in hand! I hope we can get him on video, or not, just get him! I don't know about you, but that sure gets my heart pumping!!!!
Get the rifle tag !! Chances are, this buck is just cruising. He is going to be covering A LOT of ground every day. He may or may not ever be on your property again, but, if he stas, its likely only going to be for a few days, if that. I'd go grab that rifle tag and do your best to get on him before he moves on. Wrong thing to say around this group. Love these guys, but they like to throw their personal opinion in on a matter that doesn't concern them. With that said, if you want, grab the rifle. It will not, I repeat, will not make you any less of a man. If you shot him, would you not be happy? I know I sure as hell would be. Also, it looks like that bad boy may have 7 typical on his right side. 6 is uncommon, but 7 is crazy rare!

Just said I was tempted. I can wait for our Camp in WI to pick up the rifle. Off to bed, so I can get rest for the all day sit tomorrow. I need to fix up a lunch first.
Damn what a buck, I love me some archery, but if shotgun season came in you better bet id have a slug gun in my hands.
