    I'm certainly not from the "It takes a village" state of mind, and any one out there that believes that the government is capable of making your life a success is in for a very bleak future.
    The government only take opportunities it certainly doesn't make them. Yet for those whom never look past their finger tips for rewards those rewards are more likely to be from the bottom of a cracker jack box than the trunk of a Bentley.

    It's funny who said anything about government? We were talking about jim taking the bull by the horns and showing some young folks how it's done the conservative way, how conservatism will enrich your life and when you work hard you are awarded in life.

    It would be great if we could wake up tomorrow morning and be one big, happy family. Its just not the reality of our country, today. It will take many years to undo many years of injustices. Its a slow process.

    If the republicans stick to their guns, they are stupid...and then we are all screwed. Things suck bad enough with two parties, it will get even worse with one.

    Aren't we already there, choose from one of the following ideologies: moderate or moderate. :) I've said it before, the best thing for the republican party would be to create a third party...but they'd need to split the lefter democrats away from the moderate democrats... :poke:

    On a more serious note, I did notice more libertarian and independents this year than I recall in years prior.

    Disclaimer: This post is LONG WINDED but if you can put forth enough effort to read and understand it, it's worth it....

    The MEDIA have duped a large sector of our society. Four years ago, some relative unknown ran on the basis that the guys in there before him had ruined our economy, and the media spread that message, and he got elected, this time around, the media said that the other guy "hated women", "didn't like Big Bird", was "sending jobs to China", is going to "reverse Roe v. Wade", while what they should have been telling the public is that your doubly indebted now as a country as you were four years ago, and this if BEFORE that HUGE money sucking healthcare bill will kick in, and still with the knowledge that a continued fours years like he last, gives us the likelihood of bankrupting our country there would have been a great many IGNORANT people casting a vote for a man who has philosophically and strategically weakened our country nearly beyond repair, all the while smiling like a cat who just ate your canary......

    While Mitt may not have been the BEST person who could have been cast forward for the job, he's been a very capable and successful businessman, father, and societal member. He was willing to STAND FOR SOMETHING, rather than just appease the people despite the good of the country. Voters are in general VERY IGNORANT!!!

    Romney wanted to defund Planned Parenthood because essentially funding Planned Parenthood is paying for abortions with tax-payer money. Romney said we could defund PBS, because PBS like CBS, ABC, and NBC can fund themselves with commercials, and that would be one less "entitlement" that our government had to pay for.... But what it's turned into is Romney hates Big Bird, and Romney hates Women.... When in reality is should be Romney doesn't like waste in the government budget, and is looking to cut pork to better use yours and my tax-dollars....

    I'll continue to contest that ABORTION is 1st degree murder as it is a mother and a doctor/healthcare provider performing a pre-meditated termination of a life. Rather than people be responsible in life, they are given mulligans in lieu of responsibility, and in turn, don't learn from life's mistakes or aren't really required to be morally or socially responsible.

    In reality, Romney was actually far too intelligent for the average 47%-er to appreciate his intentions, because the average 47%-er is satisfied reaping the reward of the toils of the other 53%!!!
