    I couldn't get a horse in a trailer once... A friend got him in with one swat of a broom. When I suggested he did something remarkable, he said... get this... "All I did was make life more comfortable IN the trailer than it was OUTSIDE the trailer." The same thing works for getting rid of deadbeats. They only stay when you make it more comfortable to stay than to leave. Works for sorry employees at work too.

    No, it's the BIL. The wife, I mean...we decided that we should offer to rent him one of our spare rooms. He wants a "new start", so we decided to help him out for a little while. We'll see how it goes. The wife thinks it would be good for him to spend some time around me, instead of all his less than ambitious friends.

    With all the movie remakes of late... why do I think Odd Couple when reading this post. I think Hooker should send the wife to her mom's for a month and film. Call it the Odd Couple Reality Show. I would watch it for the laughs. Fletch would watch it for the decore. Vito would watch it cause he doesn't have anything better at work to do. i think it would be a hit !!! :lol:

    This might be a good time to start a family. You have a live-in babysitter. (Assuming you can make babies quietly.)

    Maybe if you were not so quiet he would get the hint and leave on his own. But get some rules set, your house, your bills, your rules.

    Careful. No good deed goes unpunished. I'd they him you and your wife are having problems and he can't stay stay with you guy right now. Loan him the money for a week in a cheap hotel and end it. IMO

    And make sure he his not pulling your wife's heart string with his sad stories. If he needs a friend to talk to make sure it's you and not your wife.
