They lost the one player that can't be replaced on this particular team. Season full of injuries finally caught up to them. Strickland and Mcdonald out for the season early, Henson recently and now the big blow. Kendall Marshall out with a broken bone in his wrist. They simply don't have anyone to fill his spot. Oh well, I didn't have them getting past the sweet 16 anyway, but no chance now
Marshal is a lefty and broke his right. He's a true point guard that passes first then shoots so if he can tolerate pain then will probably be able to play. . Don't count anything out during the tourney. He will put everything into playing these final games. UNC will be alright.
I hope so. OU's forward jon smith and i went to high school together. I would love to see a small school like OU make it to the elite 8.
Kendall and UNC both would be extremely stupid for playing him this weekend. A fractured wrist on a point guard is VERY vulnerable to further breaking and not to mention makes him a huge liability on the court. UNC is UK's biggest rival, but I hate to see them go out like this. Strickland didn't hurt them IMO, he was a great defender but giving up his minutes to much better shooters waiting on the bench washed that out. Henson will be good to go by this weekend.....but I agree, you simply can't replace Kendall on this lineup. Most important player to that team. I wanted to see a UNC UK rematch, if both teams could make it that far. Was an excellent game the first time around.
Not a chance. No way they risk that kids future. Yeah that's too bad. I really wanted to see that game too. What a matchup that would've been. They will have their handsfull getting by the sweet 16. Not a chance the get past Kansas.
