Denver has gotten Pittsburger to 4th and long all night and has not been able to hold them. They can't stop Big Ben. An example of how bad Denver D has been. Peyton Manning had the ball for 36 seconds in the 3rd quarter. That's it.... 36 seconds. In that time he did score a touchdown but Big Ben just methodically marched down the field and had I have no idea how many 3rd and longs... and converted them all. The Defense for Denver has a couple gates wide open. LOL It's the most lopsided 3rd down conversions I ever saw. Amazing. Peyton has really only been SO SO... well at least the offense. Big Ben has just controlled ball time. They're now up by 5. Just a weird game. Peyton got the ball again and marched to the Pittsburg 1 yard line. Play under review. So with only having the ball for maybe a minute in the second half...it's now into the 4th quarter, Peyton is likely to score twice.
Yup but manning just brought them right down the field. He is looking really good in my opinion for missing an entire year. The thing that gas been driving me nuts all day watching football is these refs they are horrible. There is a major screw up in every game. Giving teams 4 time outs, not knowing who got the penalty just pure confusion. They just screwed up again awarding Pitt a replay challenge after a play was run unreal...
Alright for Peyton. Scored the TD and made a 2 point conversion to go up 3. Too bad Denver D can't slow down Big Ben. I really have to find out what their 3rd down conversion numbers were. P.S. I couldn't find 3rd down conversions on the internet... but time of possession was 34-19 in favor of Pittsburg.
Alright again.... the Denver D finally got a stop. Pick 6.... they're up 13 with under 2 to play. I love it. OPS... they went for 2 and failed so they're only up 12. 1 min 58 to go.
Alright someone tell big Ben you don't get 10 seconds to throw the ball. Is he serious 3 sacks in a row!!!
Yup... I agree. I'm glad he did it.... but it was very Ben-Unlike. I expected him to throw it away on 2 of those but he just held it. The other one.... he didn't have a chance. Post Script: Denver D showed some weakness tonight. They have to correct those or it could get tough.
I often wonder if people are watching the same games as I watch. Denver D help Ben to 245 yards 2 TD and 1 Int....an average game at best. They only allowed 2.8 yards per carry on the rushing side of things, for less than 75 yards combined for Pitts entire roster. Pittsburgh didn't even break 20 points and DENVER was the team to show a weakness on defense tonight? If anything, I thought they reaffirmed what they proved last year, they can hold teams at bay giving a competent QB/offense the chance to score/win. Tebow took advantage of it last year, and Manning will only do it that much easier this year. Denver appears to be a force for their division this year.
I agree I didn't think they looked weak at all. They had Ben on the run all night. They were bending not breaking and I think they upgraded huge from last year. They are competitors this year in the AFC!!!
X2, and I'm a Steeler's fan. Sloppy play on both sides of the ball for the Steeler's, and they even caught some breaks (the extra man on the field, Ben's timeout after the play clock expired, etc,.). I'm a Red Sox fan, Penn State fan, and Steeler's fan. Looks like it's going to be a bust of a year:D
