Ive got the Z7X and the only downfall I can HONESTLY say is that my draw is longer than the bow is ATA which created a torquing issue at first. A focus grip and few small adjustments to my shooting and this bow is an absolute tack driver!!! Cant wait to smoke a few deer with it. Honestly havnt shot the bowtech for comparison so this is a one sided review here!

I love my z7x. I have yet to hear anything negative review. I shoot mine every day. Been turkey hunting. Rain, shine, no worries. had it out crawling through a cornfield then shooting, at 30 yards through the corn, arrows were touching.
I simply can't say enough good things about this bow.

so, to compare it to the assisan, excuse my bias but I'll take the xtreme.

I'm Matthews up and down but when my dad tried out the extreme and the assassin (he is looking for a bow to he is leaning towards assassin) and so did I and i can honestly say i would buy the Bowtech over the Mathews. I was shooting my drenalin the whole day and we went to look for bows for him my arm was killing me and the Bowtech was as fast or faster than the Mathew's and was more forgiving my 2 cents

If you shoot the Mathews Z7X, you will most likely bring it home. It's a great bow.

agreed, I shot nearly every bow on the market on the high end. bear, pse, hoyt, matthews, etc. to me the z7x was the best shooting, forgiving, and quietest. that's also my opinion to though. check them out yourself!
i just posted a review on my matthews in the equipment review forum if you want to check it out.

I don't think they are comparable bows are they? Z7 is Mathews top of the line and the assassin is mid-range for Bowtech I believe. Shoot bows from both companies but if you want to be more accurate, grab the Destroyer or one of the more evenly priced bows to compare to the Mathews.
