    Will we ever lose again?

13 straight with Mo Williams/Delonte West both missing games...we beat LA and Orlando in that span as well...

I do not think the Cavs need him. They have plenty of capable scores on the roster already.

If they add Amare the Cavs might become the most tatted up team in history. Love live the Tattoos in the NBA....not.

They're going to lose either way ;)

They're playing good basketball right now, that's for sure.

    I agree.

I would hate to see the team chemistry messed with by loosing any of our players.

I agree, The Cavaliers and Lebron have a lot to prove to me. They are an elite team but it seems like they are more worried about that they're going to look like the next morning on Sportscenter the next morning than progressing throughout the season.

They seem to hit these sort of streak every year oh and by the way, Mo Williams and Delonte West are not going to help win you a title.

I beg to argue.... They are both very good players who mesh very well into Clevelands system. Cleveland has the pieces in place to win a title this summer.... It is up to them to make it happen.

If they are "an elite team" what exactly do they have to prove to you?

I still think the Lakers are better. They are winning without KOBE BRYANT! lol That's like removing LBJ from the Cavs, and see how good the team is.

I am really hoping its a Cavs Lakers match up in the finals, that'd be awesome, the two best players in the game going head to head....If Phil Jackson wins another will he get it fitted as a toe ring perhaps? :D

It's a fair question. Do you consider the Buffalo Bills (the Jim Kelly teams) "elite teams"? I suppose it matters if you're talking "in the league, today (or when the Bills were contending)"........or "historically".

Maybe it isn't so much just Kobe that makes the Lakers tick...

The early 90's Buffalo teams were pretty good teams. However, if they had been an NFC team they would have been lucky to make it to the super bowl at all, let alone 4 straight times. The NFC was overwhelmingly powerful for a good decade throughout that time frame.

So....do you consider them "elite"? And, if you do.....what does that mean (historically? Or, in their era?)?

I don't consider the Cavs an elite team by ANY definition.

Buffalo was the best of the best in a league that played second fiddle to the much better NFC. They were an elite AFC team for sure but not an NFL elite team. They were thumped in 3 of the 4 superbowls.

I would consider the Cavs currently an elite team in the NBA. Best over all record two years straight and only 5 home losses in that 2 year span. They are a league leader in defense every year and have one of the best players in the league.

Elite? Yes. The best? No, you just can't make that claim without a championship.

    Obvious sarcasm...

The most wins in the league and longest winning streak would be a good place to start though....

That's why I was wondering about the definition.

Speaking college basketball.....I think we have several "elite" teams. But, I look at this from a historical perspective.

Again.....just my opinion. Unless you've won MULTIPLE championships.....I don't think you have any claim to elite status. The cavs don't sniff the monniker. As a matter of fact, the fact that they lead the league in so many categories....and haven't/don't win championships....works against them.

They have a LONG way to go. Best thing they could do right now is work on keeping Lebron.

If you looked deeper you would actually see that the Cavs overachieved every year but last year over the past 5 years.... Beating higer seeded teams in the playoffs etc... Last year they started out on fire with two series sweeps in their first two rounds and then got beat up by Dwight Howard in the conference championship. Lasrt year they were not athletic enough on defense to guard Howard in the paint and their knock down 3 point shooters at the same time. Clevelands much taller and more athletic on defense this year and Shaq down low will be a presence to contend with.

Lebron is surrounded by an all time high of talent and I expect a nice run into the playoffs... Championship? Who knows....

Exactly why I think they are a better team. If you have a player like Kobe Bryant, and you don't even HAVE to have him to still win....you are scary good.

Lebron has all the pieces he needs this year for a championship, I can't wait to see if he capitalizes with it.

Over-achieve.......lead the league in (_____) ....but.....no championships = not elite.

They're a good team. I'm not cutting them down. Even if they win "A" championship, they wouldn't be. Are the Florida Marlins an elite MLB team? Carolina Hurricanes an elite NHL team?

    Hell, I'm a Bosox fan. I don't think they're "elite" in MLB.

Bout time for Bron Bron to do something other than hug Jay Z's and any other moguls nuts each time their is a photo op. Yeah I am a hater...but do not get it twisted, he is a freak and a heck of a player. I just think he is focused more on his goal of becoming the billionaire he is always talking about as opposed to winning rings. However I digress, I am a hawks fan so I just sit on the porch and yell at everyone who walks on my grass even tho there is only dirt:(

Kobe...focused on rings, already went through the drama with Shaq, and each passing year makes it look more and more like it was Shaq who was the drama queen when Kobe took most of the heat.

Bron...Loves him some Lebron, and maybe if his run does end in Cleveland w/out a ring he will catch one on the backside (more mature maybe) of his career...which is along ways off with his skill set.
