i've only been to one, and after they (half were vocal, half were silent) found out i was Christian, it actually happened kind of like how this fella would've wanted it. Proud to be an Atheist - YouTube set it like flint though...hehe it's okay, i know we (Christians) are consumed by zeal and say/do things we shouldn't...sobering reminder though that we have to show all people love and compassion. it doesn't mean we equate their beliefs to ours but that we equate the dignity of their human person to ours.
If I personally were to go to such a thing it would be to try and answer things they don't understand or put a different perspective to the reasons why they don't believe, otherwise as a man of faith I wouldn't want to surround myself with them. For me, there's a difference in going out with a group of people who you are friends with where one or two happen to be atheists and surrounding myself with dozens of unknowns with uncertain expectations.
