If you didn't use those multi hundred dollar stands you could hang and remove sticks but leave stand.....make it easier for you
I would enjoy hunting private land too if I were to see the deer I see on public. It's a shame a landowner does not see animals on their own property-not that I have a large property. It's more the small 5 acre properties that people bait and hunt. Maybe I should move to IL where baiting is not legal...
Ok so great public land buck is off the bucket list... Can I offer a suggestion for your next one. Come kill one in New York, it is possible and lots of monsters die each year but I promise it's a different kind of hunt. And congrats it's a awesome buck.
I must be fortunate here in the central part of the state. 2 areas here, just shy of 20k acres and can leave stands in place from early September to end of January. Just have to have ID tags on them. Think you are limited to one per person though.
Congrats Justin! That’s an awesome story, can’t wait to see the footage! Sent from my iPhone using Bowhunting.com Forums

That is awesome Justin. I filled both of my antlerless tags on public this year, but I have access to a really great farm up on the Yellowstone River. I didn't get the buck I wanted this year, but my freezer is full.
Congrats on a nice buck!!! Great story and a good way to hang in and not get discouraged. Sent from my SM-N950U using Tapatalk
Congrats Justin! Heck of a deer. I say you've outdone Todd this year...keep it up. I hope there is video? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro
Justin, thank you, you made my day with this post. Honestly, my season has been REALLY similar to yours and I've been kicking myself, down in the dumps about it ever since the gun season here started. Thats an inspiration my friend! Well done and congrats on the buck!
